Lane and Lane

is a UK Music Production Company constitutes the natural development of the Beehouse Recording Studio in Powys, Wales. There are two key personalities involved in the creative products of "Lane and Lane".

Philip Lane

Phil has been professionally involved in recording and production since the late seventies, and still regularly works with a wide range of experienced and unknown artists of many different genres. His encyclopaedic knowledge of the world of sound production and his ability to put the artist rapidly at ease, and to extract the best possible recording result from any given situation, combined with a hugely creative approach to production and post-production mean that he is much sought after as a first choice for innovative or complex projects.

Jane Lane

Jane has a background in classical piano, and a strong focus on harmony, structure and production dynamics, often contributing to both the initial development and the final stages of a track. As a songwriter, producer and lyricist, she can bring to a project the overview necessary prior to release.

Genres
Lane and Lane has a particular specialism in dance tracks and club tracks, modern commercial pop, R and B, neo two tone, and a variety of other genres, particularly Europop. We have also considerable experience in rock, indie, hip-hop, classical and folk music. We are happy working in most genres, however if we hear tracks from the outset we are able to advise you on the style your track may follow, or help you to adapt it to your preferred style at that stage. We can then help you to develop your tracks to their fullest potential.

Working Environment
The studio is set in an enormously inspirational setting within a massive unpopulated valley. This makes your time with us not only unusual and memorable, but also hopefully inspiring. We are very relaxed and are happy to work with you at your speed to achieve exactly what you are aiming for. We are usually successful in this respect. We enjoy to keep a good relationship with customers and enjoy the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects, so you will always be met with a positive outlook.

Languages and Bilingual Services
We have worked on a number of bilingual projects, in Welsh and English - we are able to incorporate in-house translation into our activities, and where necessary a bilingual member of staff for projects where it is required. Jane speaks French, various degrees of a variety of Arabic dialects and classical Arabic, some German, Italian, Spanish and Bengali, and we are both happy working in a bilingual or multilingual environment. Recent recording projects have included several in Mandarin Chinese and one in Spanish.


Video Services
We offer video services for pop and music video production, either to accompany tracks or for other purposes.
Video has been a recent departure, to some extent and is the natural extension of our music production activities.
