Production Style
Lane and Lane work either in a team or separately, depending on the nature of your product and the desired end effect. Very often a project is bounced across between the two studios several times during production to ensure the best and most robust outcome.When a piece of music is developed from the earliest beginnings, it is often Jane who spends time evolving the harmony structure and creating the most usable music framework on which to base the project. Phil then often draws on his expertise to add effective instrumentation and drumming patterns, effects etc. At this point a join review determines the progress of the track. Where the track already exists and development is required either may work on it, adding both midi and audio to complete the overall improvements.When a track requires redevelopment, it is ideal to present the multi-tracks, otherwise the project has to be re-started, which can be more time-consuming. Occasionally, proof of ownership of material may also be sought.
Genres
As explained previously, we are experienced in a wide range of genres and will work with the customer to achieve the closest possible match to the genre or sub-genre they are looking to achieve. Our experience ranges from classical structures through the whole evolution of jazz and pop to the present day.Mixes and Remixes
A Noochoon remix of your track can be provided at a fixed fee of £500. Examples of remixes may be found on the samples page. You may opt to do your remix in a number of up to the minute styles.Songwriting for Artists
Lane and Lane provide songwriting services for a number of clients, and they also work with clients to locate suitable tracks, and with songwriters to promote their tracks to singers looking for new material. When we work with a singer to provide tracks, we look extensively at the tracks where that singer performs the best and consider his or her vocal range and style. We may also work with the singer on adjusting vocal technique in this capacity. We can then either writer specifically for that singer, or make various suggestions from our range of available tracks.When a singer opts to sing a song written by another person through Lane and Lane, we provide a distribution package through Noochoon, our downloads site. Co-writing
When a singer opts to co-write a song with Lane and Lane, or production is so extensive that a co-writing agreement is required, we provide a distribution package through Noochoon, our downloads site. Terms of this package can be found at this link. (Package 2) There is also a resultant 50 50 split in song ownership between Lane and Lane, for the purposes of royalties, and we would ask the customer to sign an agreement to this effect also.Soundtracks
Lane and Lane have considerable expertise in the development and delivery of soundtracks to order. A range of these can be seen on Megaviz Videos website. Examples of soundtracks may be found on the samples page. Soundtracks are written to specific guidelines and we are able to produce quality input to pre-agreed deadlines. Our soundtracks tend to be whole pieces of music, cut in various ways to assist in the natural flow of your video and to set to scene and emotions of the video.

Advertising Music
We have worked on a number of bilingual projects, in Welsh and English - we are able to incorporate in-house translation into our activities, and where necessary a bilingual member of staff for projects where it is required. Jane speaks French, various degrees of a variety of Arabic dialects and classical Arabic, some German, Italian, Spanish and Bengali, and we are both happy working in a bilingual or multilingual environment. Recent recording projects have included several in Mandarin Chinese and one in Spanish.Video Services
We offer video services for pop and music video production, either to accompany tracks or for other purposes.Video has been a recent departure, to some extent and is the natural extension of our music production activities.
